What to PackYou need to wear light clothes at most times because of the tropical climate, but in winter you will need a something warm in the evenings. Bangladesh is an Islamic country and it is circumspect to be modestly attired. You mustn’t forget to look out for rainy days so umbrellas or raincoats are a must. |
Travel DocumentsThe Bangladeshi authorities insist that visitors should be in possession of a passport and a visa. Visa regulations change so often that it is suggested that you check with the Bangladeshi Embassy in your country of residence, before you plan your trip. With the exception of the United Kingdom, India and Australia, Commonwealth country citizens need a visa for a 15-day stay. Citizens of all other countries require a visa. However, it is possible to obtain a 72-hour entry permit and then a valid visa later from the Directorate of Immigration and Passports in Dhaka. Visas are usually valid for six months. |
